The modern province of Friesland in the Netherlands has two areas with known ties to Forseti (Fosite or Foste in the Frisian language).
Foswert, the inland location of a former Benedictine monastery just south of the island of Ameland, still carries the God's name. The former monastery started off on Ameland but was moved to Foswert in 1066; it was destroyed in 1580.
Foswert and Ameland share other telling connections. In Ameland, the foundations of a church exist near the town of Nes. This church's patron saint was John the Baptist, the same patron saint of the Foswert monastery. There is also a holy spring near Nes, the so-called Willibrordsdobbe (Willibrord's spring) pictured above. Willibrord also has unfortunate associations with the island of Heligoland, another place once named for Fosite. In any case, the ties between Ameland and Foswert point back through the mists of time, towards traces of Fosite's worship in the area.
Foswert itself it located between the towns of Ferwert to the north and Wanswert to the south. It lies close to De Traan canal and is just off the southern portion of the It Kleaster road. The town of Wanswert is named for the Frisian equivalent of Odin.
